Freshmen's Fizzz 2014- Stoplight Theme

Freshmen’s Fizzz, the freshers party at SBS has always had a unique theme which eventually becomes a trendsetter. This year’s theme was stoplight with the dress colours taken down from the traffic signal. Red and Green signified availability and non availability whereas Amber asked for time to think and Black depicted a mischievous existence.
Students Posing For The Spotlight Theme
The décor suited the theme. A freshly led outroad with traffic signals and imprinted signs cautioning pedestrians of curves and bumps ahead! The SBS plaza was looking class & beautiful with dazzling lights and the trendy balloons added glitters to the overall adornment. The evening started with couples making a ramp walk on the red carpet heading towards a glam photo shoot.

Dancing To The Beats Of Fusion
The plaza wore the mysterious black and the darkness removed by brilliant bursts of high tech lighting. From red Armanis to green Valentinos, the freshers had it all on. At any given time, there were a minimum of 500 on the floor dancing to the beat of DJ Shilen. The music and the lighting were the charm of the evening as the beats compelled everyone to come on the dance floor. Lungi Dance, Dhating Naach and Badtameez Dil rocked the top charts and students danced their heart out to its remixes. Also the fusion songs were a hit amongst the students.

“The measure of life is not its duration, but its donation.”- Peter Marshall

If you’re a blood donor, you’re a hero to someone, somewhere, who received your gracious gift of life. The finest gesture one can make to save life is by donating blood. The blood’s main components- Red Cells, Plasma and Platelets are vital for many different uses like treatments for cancer and blood diseases, anaemia and in surgeries for transplants and burns. Plasma provides proteins, nutrients and a clotting agent that is vital to stop bleeding. Platelets are tiny cells used to help patients at a high risk of bleeding.
